AJ Lee was Raw General Manager from July 2012 until October 2012. She was just in her mid twenties at the time and had no genuine premise for being in the part. It was irregular booking and it didn't generally do much for her or the item.
What it came down to was that WWE enjoyed her character work and the promos she did. The GM part was seen as a chance to develop her promos, all things considered it just held her back as an in-ring specialist.
